Ukwuani LGA Gets New SLG
The Executive Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, has sworn-in Mr Chukwunedum Harry Dafikpaku as the new Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), with a charge to align with the policies of his administration and in pursuance of the ‘Stronger Delta Agenda’.
The council boss heartily congratulated the new SLG and urged him to ensure that his office reflects the “Open Door, No Protocols Policy” of his administration even as he added that, the SLG should at all times be able to distinguish between his social and official life.
Barr Ajede also stated that, he was particularly happy that the council now has a complete executive by the appointment, screening and subsequent swearing in of the SLG.
According to him, “the appointment of the SLG was a painstaking decision to make because the position of the SLG is a strategic one and so, we made the appointment on the strength of capacity and ability to deliver on the enormous demands of the office,” he added.

The Executive Chairman also advised the SLG to align with His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa’s Stronger Delta Agenda and stressed the need to be a consensus builder by treating the staff, politicians and Ukwuani people with respect and be impartial and broad-minded in conflict management.
In his response, the SLG, Ukwuani Local Government, Mr Chukwunedum Harry Dafikpaku, thanked God and the Executive Chairman for finding him worthy to serve as the SLG to the council and pledged to put in his best to deliver on all the responsibilities that the SLG’s office demands while aligning with the the ‘Stronger Delta Agenda.’
