Your Defection To PDP, A Plus To Us, APC Tells Former Delta North Chairman

By Daniel Dafe, Abraka
The All Progressives Party, APC, in Delta State, has reacted to the defection of the party’s Delta North Chairman, Chief George Okafor to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), adding that the party will not miss his exit since it “has saved her great danger of an internal mole working in cohort with the failed PDP led administration.”
In a letter titled: ‘ACCEPTANCE OF RESIGNATION AS STATE VICE CHAIRMAN, DELTA NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT,’ signed by Prophet Jones Ode Erue,
Chairman, APC Delta State Caretaker Committee, the party added: “Your resignation did not come to the party as a surprise having placed you on surveillance since we got intelligence report of your under-currents and romance with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its government to sabotage our electoral gains overtime.”

Continuing, the party said: “The APC leadership and its members has been vindicated as your eventual resignation has lent credence to the intelligence reports about your numerous anti-party activities spanning several years and particularly your ignoble role in ensuring the emergence of a fathom candidate of the party in the 2019 house representatives elections for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.”
Meanwhile, Okafor said his defection was hinged on the fact that APC in the state had too many infightings and that there was no hope that such would come to an end.
