Niger Delta Peace Ambassador, Peresine Watchman has warned one John Ebiotu who claims to be the Spokesperson of Delta Ijaw Movement, to be mindful of the choice of words he uses when addressing a vital issue of public interest, stating that John Ebiotu’s unguarded statement and insults on Elder Godsday P. Orubebe showed that he was suffering from political myopia and psychodelia.

Peresine stated that John Ebiotu would not have made such a nonsensical online publication to insult a well recognized political Leader in Ijaw nation and Nigeria, with many followers across the nation, if he was not politically myopic and under the influence of psychedelic drugs.

The statement reads in part: “DC-23 knows the worth and political weight of Elder Godsday Peter Orubebe in Delta State and Nigeria, and they therefore consulted him and pleaded with him to support Delta Central to produce the next Governor of Delta State, which is a welcome development.

“My Leader, Elder Godsday P. Orubebe being an experienced, courageous and upright politician, told the DC-23 team that he would support Delta Central to produce the Governor of Delta State in 2023, because there was an agreement for the governorship position in the State to be zoned to the three Senatorial Districts.

“A reasonable man or group of persons from Delta Ijaw who is in support of Delta Ijaw to produce the next Governor, should think deeper on his remarks, and act/move to convince him to support Ijaw Governor if what he said last Saturday was not the truth politically, instead of attacking and barking at him like an untamed dog.

“Delta Ijaw Groups supporting Delta Ijaw to produce the next Governor in Delta State, should go beyond the rhetoric of baseless press statements, and strategize like the DC-23 group, to lobby other ethnic groups in Delta State and Ijaw Leaders who believe that the 2023 Governor should come from Delta Central because there is an agreement for Senatorial zoning, instead of insulting political leaders who oppose ethnic political zoning arrangement.

“I wish to inform the ill-informed John Ebiotu and his Delta Ijaw Movement that Elder Godsday P. Orubebe has not been disfigured or dislocated politically in Ijaw nation, Delta State and Nigeria, and he will never be disfigured and dislocated by anybody or group politically and spiritually.

“John Ebiotu and his group should also be informed that I am one of the strongest and teaming followers/disciples of Elder Godsday Orubebe, and Orubebe is politically viable, relevant and stronger than those political Leaders they look up to.

“I advise John Ebiotu and his group in the interest of Ijaw nation and Delta Ijaw Governor they believe in, to immediately retract their provocative and insulting press statement against Elder Godsday Peter Orubebe and apologize to him,” Peresine stated.
