Delta Female Publisher/Journalist, Valerie Writes On Her Experience With Chief James Augoye

As a photojournalist and event planner I have met a lot of celebrities and politicians but one outstanding personality I met recently is Chief James Auguoye, the former commissioner for Works, Delta State.

The man has a great sense of humor and unique style of humility and is simplicity is so overwhelming.

It was the 9th day of July, 2021 and the weather was bright and our journey to Warri, Ugbokodo in Okpe LGA from Asaba was an interesting one with mixed feelings I was not sure of our destination because I have never been to Ugbokodo before but along the line I convinced myself that I was on the right track to support this great man on his political ambition.

He welcomed my group the 3rd Force organization wholeheartedly. He was so delightful and received us like VIPs .. I was particularly thrilled with the “item 7” (because I love good food). It was superb and tasty. The catering was done with absolute cooking craft and packaged nicely. The waiters were polite with friendly smiles. What marveled me was that Chief James Auguoye the Agada1 of Okpe Kingdom waited on line for his turn but made sure that all the ladies ate first. He is such a gentleman by all standard.

In his welcome speech, he appreciated our coming and encouraged us to stand with him as God has also promised him victory. Also, in his speech, he noted that he had “A WILL” to serve and project Delta state to limelight and carry on the good works and giant strides of His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa who he said has impacted so much on the good people of Delta State, just as he (Chief James Auguoye) promised to always hold town hall meetings frequently to know the needs of each community at all times and he also promised to develop and project human capital development and create infrastructural growth that will live in the hearts of all as a foot print.

The event was small but classy. In my brief chat with him, I noticed that he is good at chit-chats and a very down to earth personality which I actually appreciate.

I look forward to meeting him again for another media chat with selected media gurus.

He is a good listener and a very articulated person and one auspicious thing happened that day that left a positive view in my mind that this man has a clean heart. It will interest you to know that at the peak of the courtesy call a man serving us drinks accidentally stepped on something and a bottle of Andrea fell to the ground but did not break, I was overwhelmed by that, because normally bottles fall to the ground and get broken but I believe that Because God was with Chief James Auguoye he gave us an auspicious sign of his awesomeness.

Please let’s give Chief James Auguoye our support to rule Delta State come 2023….I am glad I met this Great man of Honour. Thank you.
