The immediate past National President, Okpe Youth President (OYC), Comrade Harrison Ekeleme, who also is the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sapele Local Government Area and the Secretary, Amukpe District, Amukpe-Sapele, has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Major General Felix Mujakperuo rtd., Orhue 1, (LL.B; B.L; LL. M; LL.D; CFR, mni.), Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, on what he described as a “well deserved appointment as the Chancellor of Nigeria Army University, Biu, Borno State by President Muhammadu Buhari.”

In a statement made available to Oasis Magazine (OM), Ekeleme recalled that the monarch was also recently elected as the National Chairman of Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities (TROMPCOM), adding that the Orodje “is a father of peace whose leadership has led to the peace and development of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State, Niger Delta and Nigeria in general.”

Adding: “His wisdom brought about the peaceful coexistence of his people.”

The Okpe youth leader thanked God Almighty for the traditional ruler, saying that he has “served the nation meritoriously as a retired Major General and still contributing to the welfare of the nation.”

“I also use this medium to appreciate the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who deemsed it fit to recognise our revered monarch to appoint him as a Chancellor of the Army University.

“As a traditional ruler with vast experience, he has always been a force to be reckoned with and in this new role he will truly be formidable and will put to bear his wealth of experience in succeeding in this new office in service to our nation, Nigeria.

“I join families, friends, well wishers and other Okpe indigenes world over to congratulate the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom,” the statement added.
