Internal Crisis: APC Postpones Ward Congresses In 3 States

THE internal crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC) has resulted to halting of the congress in some states as the congresses would be held in 33 out of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) suspended congresses of Zamfara, Kwara and Anambra states until further notice.
A former Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof Mamman Tahir, who is also a member of the National Caretaker Committee of the Party, announced this on Friday during a media briefing in Abuja, explaining that the congresses would be held in 33 out of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

He however noted that those of Zamfara, Kwara and Anambra states were put on hold and a date to be announced later.
This suspension by the party National Caretaker Committee in the three states is to avoid conduct of parallel Congress by warring faction within the party.
