Gov Okowa Commissions Projects In Ukwuani, As Ajede Clocks 100 Days In Office (PHOTOS)

The Executive Governor, Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, has commissioned three projects in Ukwuani Local Government Area executed by the administration of Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, even as he lauded him for what he described as “the judicious use of the funds coming to the council for the benefits of the people.”

Governor Okowa while commissioning the reconstructed and upgraded Mini Ultra-modern Obi-Obeti Market; renovated 2 blocks of 6 and 4 classroom and administrative offices at Ethiope Primary School, Umutu and the newly constructed 5 culverts at Ezhionum farm road, noted that he was impressed and in awe with the quality and obvious impacts of the projects on the lives of the people and the communities.

Governor Okowa who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House, Rt Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, in his goodwill message to Ukwuani people, assured them that their appeals and other concerns raised will be holistically considered and granted in due time, saying that any of their demands not tackled will be handled by his successor.

Also, the Governor called for peaceful coexistence between Umuebu and Amai communities while noting that no meaningful development can take place in a rancorous atmosphere.

Earlier, in his encapsulated and articulated speech, the Executive Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) Ajede, welcomed His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to Ukwuani Local Government even as he expressed his gratitude to the governor for the peaceful conduct of the election that brought him in as the chairman of the council.

The pragmatic chairman also chronicled his journey so far in the council while reiterating that it was service to Ukwuani people that motivated him to be the LGA chairman so he could leverage on his office to impact positively on the lives of the people.

According to him, this is just the beginning of his many programmes embedded in the STEP UP UKWUANI AGENDA.

He however passionately appealed to the governor to reactivate the Phase II of some of the completed Phase I projects across the LGA.

Barr Ajede also appreciated the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ochor Ochor who was unavoidably absent, the Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Delta State, Hon Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, Secretary, PDP, Delta State, Engr. Dan Ossai, Chairman, PDP, Ukwuani LGA, Chief Engr Patrick Kaine, traditional rulers, youths organizations, women groups, Ukwuani Local Government Council Exco members and all government functionaries that came to grace the commissioning and celebration of his 100 days in office.
