JUST IN: Oghara Polytechnic Loses Registrar, Lawrence Umukoro
Death struck Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara (DESPO) on Saturday, as the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Lawrence Mudiaga Umukoro, passed on.
Niger Delta Today reports that the deceased died at a Sapele Hospital where he was receiving treatment late Saturday evening.
He was said to have been briefly sick before his sad demise at the age of 55.
Umukoro hailed from Ovade-Oghara and Ovu in Ethiope West and East Local Government Areas of Delta State.
Several sources confirmed the death of the Oghara polytechnic registrar to NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online on Sunday.
Mr. Umukoro attended the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, where he obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree (B.Tech.) in Maritime Transport Management Technology between 1992 and 1998.

He obtained Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Delta State University, Abraka, in 2007.
Mr. Lawrence Umukoro resigned from the Delta State Unified Local Government Service Commission to pick up appointment with the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe – Oghara in February 2003 as Administrative Officer I.
He rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar, until his recent appointment as Registrar of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe – Oghara.
He was a member of the Nigerian Institution of Management.
