SCOAN Debunks Reports Of Arrests, Detention Of Church’s Disciples

The leadership of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has described as untrue, claims, making the rounds in the social media of arrests and detention of some disciples of the church by the newly appointed chairperson and leader Board of Trustees, Mrs. Evelyn T.B. Joshua.
Refuting the claim in a statement, issued on Sunday, titled: ‘No victimisation of any sort at SCOAN’, and signed by James Akhigbe of the legal department of the church, the leadership of the church urged the public to discountenance such reports, describing it as a narrative conjured by detractors to discredit it.
“We stand in the light and we cannot compromise the ideal and legacy of our mentor and founder, late Senior Prophet TB Joshua on integrity, spiritual worship, unconditional love and humanitarianism.
“The public would recall that on the 9th of September, 2021, the Board Of Trustees BOT of the SCOAN appointed Mrs Evelyn T.B. Joshua as its chairperson,” the statement read.
According to the church, what its leadership had done was to take steps to secure certain critical assets of the church, following the discovery of huge cases of financial misappropriation perpetrated in the past few months, with the passing of its founder, Prophet T.B. Joshua.

It, however, added that the ongoing exercise, which involved some category of church workers, including its disciples, is being carried out objectively under a regular and absolutely normal environment without any harassment, contrary to the narrative now being peddled by mischief makers.
“Once again, the church urges the public to disregard such reports and continue to support SCOAN in prayers as it commences this new phase in the life of the Ministry,” it stated.
