Gaya Congratulates Ganduje, Kyari On Sun Award
THE member Representing Albasu, Gaya & Ajingi federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has described the award conferred on the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as The Sun Governor of the Year as a proof of his selfless to the people of the State.
According to him, the award will continue to spur Governor Ganduje to do more for the people of the state, considering his administration’s people-oriented programmes the administration has executed across the state.
Gaya, in a statement issued in Kano to newsman by his Senior Legislative Aide, Bashir Abba Gaya, stressed that in the past six years of Ganduje’s administration so much has been achieved in the state especially in the area of free and compulsory education, health, security and infrastructure.
In a related development, the federal lawmaker congratulated the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Malam Mele Kyari, who was honoured with the “The Sun Man of The Year Award”.

Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya further said the GMD has demonstrated transparency and accountability in steering the affairs of the cooperation by publishing the monthly operational report of the NNPC, with further of publishing its annual audited financial statement, which had not been done in 43 years of its operations.
Malam Kyari’s leadership at the NNPC has been largely characterised by an outstanding vision in commitment to efficiency, openness and prudence in service delivery geared at attaining the objectives of the corporation and meeting the expectations of shareholders, Gaya said.
