Omo-Agege Calls For Reconciliation, As Omeni Sobotie Emerges Delta APC Chairman

The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district, and Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-agege has urged the newly-elected executives to immediately commence reconciling aggrieved individuals and groups within the party.
He said, “We remain one united family, and we remain focused on delivering unprecedented progress and development to Delta State”.
Addressing party members, as former Commissioner For Environment, Engr. Omeni Sobotie emerged as State Chairman, Senator Omo-agege said, “I want to in a special way congratulate the newly-elected executives of our party. I urge you to discharge your responsibility with the fear of God and ensure you carry everyone along in the running of the affairs of the party. Let us have a vibrant party that can compete anywhere in the country”.
He thanked the party Electoral team from Abuja led by Senator Ajibola Basiru for accepting to serve the Party by coming down to Delta State to conduct, monitor and supervise the free and fair Congress.
“I thank party leaders and stakeholders for their support and understanding so far and for contributing to the hitch-free exercise. I thank members for your understanding and cooperation with the APC led Federal Government. I equally solicit to you to extend same to the newly-elected party officials. I appeal to those who lost out not to lose hope. I assure you all of a better tomorrow”, the distinguished Senator added.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) state congress for Delta to elect those who will pilot the affair of the party for another 4 years, held at Asaba, and was conducted by a 7-man State Congress Committee led by Senator Ajibola Bashiru and witnessed by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Described as transparent and credible, it was attended by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-agege, and other leaders of the party, while apart from Sobotie, Mr. Ogbueshi Adizue Eluaka, Mr. Paulinus Akpeki, Mr. Austin Orighoye were elected Senatorial Chairmen for Delta North, Central and South respectively.
Others elected were Mr. Nick Ovuakporie who emerged Secretary, Mr. Valentine Onojegho, State Publicity Secretary, while Hon. Tina Okwudili, State Woman Leader, along with 29 others.
