4th Urhobo Economic & Investment Summit Holds Nov 25
The Urhobo Economic and Investment Group, a non governmental organization and Urhobo professionals, will on Thursday, 25 November, 2021, host the Urhobo nation to the 4th economic and investment summit at Wetland Hotel, Ughelli, Delta State.
According to a statement by the Convener of the Summit, Kingsley Ubiebi, the summit, which has been tagged “Ekpo Baro” which in Urhobo means “let us make progress,” is expected to attract investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs, academics, policy-makers, politicians, youths and women associations and traditional rulers.
The summit, with the theme, “Industrialisation and the path to Urhobo Prosperity” is expected to kick-start an economic revolution, which will alter the socio-economic condition of the Urhobo nation for good.
Director-General of the Delta State Investment and Development Agency, DIDA, Olorogun Lucky Oghene-Omoru, and the Executive Director, Business Development, Hon. Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete, Clement Mudiaga Enajemo, Prof Dicta Ogisi, Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, Abraham Ogbodo, Dr Omonigho Benedict Otanocha, along other speakers would speak at the event.

The event, which will start at 10:00 am, will be chaired by Arc. (Chief) Charles Majoroh, while Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege will be Special Guests of Honour.
The statement further said National Assembly Members from Delta Central, State House of Assembly and Local Government Chairmen will be Guests of Honour while Traditional rulers in Urhoboland will be royal fathers of the day.
