Group To President Buhari: Release Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho

By Daniel Dafe/Jeffery Okoro
A group, Alliance Against Vote Buying and Bad Leadership in Nigeria, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho.
This follows the call for Kanu’s release made by South East leaders during a visit to the president on Friday in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the group, Amb. Oke Hezx Idawene JP, the group stated that they are not “clamouring for the division of Nigeria,” saying that their mission is to push for the quest of nation building for good leadership.

The statement added: “With the recent plea by leaders of south east, south west and the entire country, it is only sophisticated reasoning coupled with tactical approach to give Nigeria a facelift as it concerns this subject matter.”
Furthermore, while appealing to Buhari for the release of Kanu and Igboho, they urged close appointees of the presidency and caucus leaders of Nigeria to advise the president to swiftly release them.
The statement continued: “We are pan Nigerians. We believe in Nigeria. We want good leadership.”
