By Daniel Dafe
Urhobo Peculiar Advocates (UPA) also known as the Advocacy Voice of Urhobo Nation, on Sunday inaugurated a new National Executive Council alongside the men and women wing executive of the organisation.
UPA is an advocacy organisation established with a core mandate to leverage on enabling laws with focus geared towards exploring human right awareness as a means to fight for justice, rights and privileges of Urhobo indigenes all over the world.

Hon. Chuks Erhire opined that there’s a clear cut distinction between Stewardship and Legacy.
He buttressed further that “A steward can be rated as a hallmark of social class amidst elites, but legacy would always stand tall as a classic virtue because it bridges the gap of relativity with the populace, and that is the drive which exonerates the burden of all and sundry to crave for more of you relentlessly at will or during severity.”
Hon. Erhire avowed that there are no born leaders because leadership is not an endowment, rather it is an accomplishment, adding that no one becomes a leader without paying the price.
Also present as a special guest to deliver a lecture on Human Rights Advocacy was Barrister Maxwell Omas Ogedegbe, Legal practitioner at Ogedegbe & Ogedegbe Chambers.
Ogedegbe, a renowned human rights activist who is the Director General, Conference of the Actualization of Human Rights (CAHR), in his presentation asserted that every human is entitled to his/her fundamental human right as created by the creator, except in cases of treasonable felony.
