UYLA Will Continue To Support Okowa’s SMART Agenda – President

The President, Urhobo Youth Leaders Association (UYLA), Olorogun Onoriode Ofoni, has promised to mobilise other leaders and members of the body to continue to support Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
Ofoni who spoke during a press conference at Don Chisel Hotel, Oguname-Olomu on Thursday, added that the Association has been a part Okowa’s administration since inception.
He recalled how the body prior to 2015 elections, was the first group to openly support the Okowa/Otuaro, PDP’s ticket with a mega political rally at the PTI Conference Centre with Okowa in attendance.
Adding: “We went ahead to organise a market to market campaign exercise in major markets for PDP candidate among Delta Central and South South Senatorial district.”

He continued, “In 2019, we held another seminar in Sapele, reiterated our commitment to the zoning arrangements of the party and endorsed the candidacy of Gov Okowa for a second term”.
Furthermore, he said that UYLA’s loyalty is to Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and Delta State PDP led by Barrister Kingsley Esiso
He added, “We wholeheartedly trust their judgments and leadership styles. Wherever direction they go, there we will go too. We are glad to note that the leader of the Ijaw lobbyist group, Alawei Brodrick Bozimo and the Ijaw Mandate Group, IMG, led by the National Coordinator, Hon. Dagidi Andaye have given support to our stand on 2023. They have also appealed to the Ijaw people in their recent press briefings, urging the Ijaw Nation to wait till 2031. We wholeheartedly commend them for the bold steps and show of love for the Urhobo people of Delta Central”.
