Adeboye’s Son Says RCCG’s Dating Site Is Irrelevant

Pastor Leke Adeboye, son to the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has broken his silence on the buzz that has greeted the reported launch of a dating website for Christian singles by the City Of David, a branch of RCCG, headed by Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Daily Independent reports..

Adeboye stressed that a dating app was irrelevant for the church, as he proffered prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in finding a soul mate.

Posting photos of members assumed to be part of the RCCG Pastors Seeds Family (PSF), he wrote: “Seeds Connecting with Seeds. We don’t need a dating app! We old fashion, we use prayer and Holy Spirit to find each other.”

Upon the check of the reported newly launched site, the notice given reads: “Registration for the next Connectnow session would begin in January 2022. Interested participants should pls send an email to [email protected]”

The website also carries a disclaimer that reads: “Connectnow is a Christian singles platform where men and women meet to prepare for courtship and marriage.

“This website, its content (including any information provided by registrants) and activities of Connectnow is for the purpose of connecting for courtship and marriage only and is not intended to replace or serve as a substitute for any due diligence/background checks to be conducted by the registrants prior to connecting.
