Former Edo Governor, Lucky Igbinedion Loses Mother

Mrs. Maria Oredola Igbinedion, mother of
Chief Lucky Igbinedion, former governor of Edo State, is dead.
Mrs. Oredola Igbinedion, a scion of the ‘Ogbebor N’ Usen family in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, died in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 85.
This wad disclosed by her eldest son, Lucky Igbinedion.

Igbinedion said the burial arrangement of the Octogenarian who is survived by Children, grand children and great-grandchildren, will be announced later by the family.
The Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion fathered Lucky Igbinedion who governed the State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 1999 and 2007.
A condolence message by the sate government is being awaited as at the time of filing this report last night.
