Obule Consummates Son’s Marriage In Rivers State

Omoku Community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA of Rivers State was agog last weekend as the Delta State Coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mobilizer, Hon. Francis Obule (JP), family and associates stormed the community to pay the bride price of his son’s wife, former Miss Rita Chikordi Elebechi Orji in a colourful ceremony.

The celebrated traditional marriage between Mr. Oghenero Francis Obule Jnr and Mrs. Rita Oghenero Francis Obule was conducted according to the tradition and custom of Omoku people of Rivers State.

Speaking to newsmen at Omoku, the father of the groom, Hon. Obule JP said he was happy to participate in the marriage ceremony of his son and expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful and successful marriage ceremony.

He prayed to God for the couple to continue to love themselves and uphold the true love that brought them together and understand each other as well worship God and be prayerful for God’s protection and blessing.

Comrade Obule urged the newly married couple to have patience, love and trust each other, assuring that God will bless and favour their marriage.

“Always trust God in your marriage and be patient, tolerant and love. Increase your faith in God after marriage so that God could take control and bless your marriage,” he added.

Hon. Obule thanked Pa Chief Alfred Obule, the head of the Obule family of Okuovo 1 Community in Ozue District, Sapele LGA and also thanked all those who found time to grace the occasion and those who gave financial support and prayed for the success of the occasion.

The newly married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Obule Jnr. expressed joy and promised to love and respect each other and maintain the sanctity of marriage.

Earlier, the father of the bride, Chief Deacon Vincent Elebechi Orji during the traditional marriage ceremony conducted in Omoku tradition and custom prayed for the couple to be fruitful, love each other, honest, faithful to each other and always pray to God for His blessing and protection.
