Polobubo Community Gets New National Officers, As Dr. Abulu Emerge President

Dr. (Engr.) Bright Abulu (PhD) and Rev. Clement Doyah Tiemo (JP), President General and General secretary respectively took over the mantle of leadership of Polobubo (Tsekelewu) community, Warri north LGA, Delta State alongside 17 others on December 2, 2021 at Polobubo (Tsekelewu) town.

Shortly after they were sworn in, Dr. Abulu gave a brief acceptance speech, thanking the people for the honour.

Dr Abulu said, “I am indeed elated by the honour done to me and my team and I promised that, with God helping us, the Community will prosper.With God helping us we will pilot the affairs of our community with intergrity, trust and in the fear of God.”

This came after the adoption and signing of the amended Polobubo (Tsekelewu) Community Constitution by a representative from each of the eight (8) quarters that made up the community.

In attendance were Elder Edmund Doyah Tiemo, Pa Jeyemi Gbalubi, Chief Clifford Ukulor, Chief Afan Lesiagho, Chief Ismael Suku, Chief (Mrs.) OJombo Yoroki and prominent sons and daughters of the Community.

The Polobubo national executive council (NEC) is responsible for the realization and achievement of the aims and goals of the community. The NEC have overriding powers, plays supervisory and oversight functions over all wings, organs and appendages of Polobubo (Tsekelewu) community.

The NEC is the supreme organ of Polobubo (Tsekelewu) community and is the authorized leaders/spokesmen, representatives of the Polobubo (Tsekelewu) community in all matters affecting the community.

Elder Edmund Tiemo, who was a former national president of the NEC chaired the event.

He urged the new leadership to be fair, just and rule the community equitably in the fear of God.

He said, “I have no doubt of the competence of Dr. Abulu and his executive council members, as the president is coming in with over 20 years working experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked with Chevron Nigeria limited in Nigeria and United States of America and with a doctorate degree. He and his team will succeed.”

He described the emergence of the set of officers as “a new dawn for the community” and urged all sons and daughters to support the new leadership”.

Rev. Kenneth Toruwei of the First Baptist Church Polobubo, Papa Jeyemi Gbalubi and Ama-Okosuwei of Polobubo (Tsekelewu) community- Papa Chief Idabor Pablogba prayed for and gave fatherly advice to the NEC.
