Umuebu Community Appeals To Delta Government To Commence Phase Two Of Road Project

Umuebu Community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State have appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration to put measures in place towards commencing phase two of Umuebu / Obiaruku road project.

Respondents who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the road if completed would play crucial role in the socioeconomic growth and development of the people of the community.

While commending the governor for the first phase that had been completed over three years ago, the respondents recalled that there was strong need for the administration to commence the second phase in order to link Umuebu community and bring the needed joy to the good people of the community.

They noted that the project could impact positively on the lives of the people of the area was through the commencement and completion of phase two.

The respondents stated that the delay by the State Government to start the second phase of the road project against her promise could lead to the unnecessary impression that the project had been abandoned.

They said that the community had continued to be a stronghold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and pledged their unalloyed support to the Okowa led administration even as they lauded the State Government for her role in ensuring peaceful coexistence between Umuebu and Amai communities through effective boundary demacations.
