Delta Information Commissioner Gets Commendation For Rewarding Staff Of His Ministry

The Permanent Secretary, Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Mr. Augustine Chukwuma has commended the state commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu for the strategic information management of the activities of the Okowa led administration in the state.
Chukwuma also lauded the commissioner for encouraging and inspiring information officers to brace up for effective service delivery and for rewarding hardworking officers of his ministry.
The PS made the commendation in his office in Asaba when the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Mr. Magnus Emuji who is one of the awardees of hardwork by the commissioner visited him to inform him of the recognition of his efforts towards publicizing the activities of the education sector by the commissioner.

Chukwuma, however, enjoined the PRO to continue to put in his best and ensure that he sustained the temple of reportage of the activities around the education sector and other happenings around the state especially those within his reach .
He said that the best reward for every individual was more work and commitments , adding that information officers played pivotal role in enlightening the people of government policies, programmes and the achievements of government as well as the expectation of the people.
Chukwuma , who described the commissioner’s initiative to reward his staff as morale booster , noted that the gesture would reinvigorate the spirit of motivation and commitments among them .
For their part, the Director of Examinations and Standard in the state ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Sunday Egomaguna, the Director of Inspectorate and Quality Assurance, Mr. Ernest Ossai and their the Director of Schools also in the ministry congratulated the PRO even as they appreciated the commissioner for finding him worthy of the recognition.
They said that the PRO had continued to be a good ambassador of the state ministry of Information, emphasizing that he had been effectively publicizing the activities of their ministry.
