Pastor Sunday Adelaja, founder and senior pastor of the Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for All Nations, an evangelical-charismatic megachurch and a Christian denomination in Kyiv, Ukraine, has said that he is amongst the list of influential people in Ukraine that Russia wants dead.

In a video posted on his Facebook page, the cleric said that from American intelligence he learnt that Russia has a list of influential people in Ukraine for elimination.

According to him, he wanted to stay back in the country despite attacks of the Russian army on Ukrainne, but when he learnt of the plans to kill him in a few days, he had to leave.

He added: Those to be killed are “not ordinary people but it is for influential people; people who have public opinion, and that I am on that list and I know I am because since 2005 I have been a personal enemy of Putin.

“Close to 20 years now, he has banned me from going to Russia. Anyway that’s another story for another day. So, I know I will be on that list, but before I left we were able to gather some African students in my house; some people live with me; some people came to join, but we have underground tunnel in my house, so everybody in my house are in the underground bunker.

“I would have stayed back but when I was told that I am in the list and that Russia was going to enter the city, all my leaders in the church and people said I must leave. So I had to quickly arrange for myself and Pastor Bose to go to a safe place. So, as I am talking to you right now I am in a safe place.”
