Delta Police Command Goes Tough On Drug Barons, Arrests 25 Suspected Cultists In Agbor

Delta State Police Command on Tuesday arrested one Larry Onifon during a raid of a black-spot in Okwuchi quarters, Eku, by the Command’s Crack Surveillance team.
A statement by the police image maker in the state, DSP Edafe Bright, who disclosed this added that the policemen acted “on intelligence.”
According to the statement, the suspect, aged 24, was arrested in a drug neighborhood while other suspects took to their heels.
Onifon claimed to be a fashion designer.
Forty (40) packets of 100mg Tramadol, eighty-nine (89) wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, four (4) sachets of Swinol, three (3) containers of Loud, fifty-five (55) wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine were recovered.

Onifon also stated that the cartel popularly called “OBJ cartel” is owned by one of the fleeing suspects named “OBJ”.
Suspect is in custody while manhunt for the other fleeing suspects is ongoing.
In another development, on the 31st of January, at about 9p.m., the Command Raider’s operatives raided a criminal hideout at Agbor, Delta State, during which twenty-five (25) male suspected cultists were arrested.
Some of the suspects confessed being members of Black Axe Confraternity and Junior Supreme Aiye Confraternity.
The police said investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+, while appreciating officers and men for their tireless efforts in the fight against crime and criminality, also admonished them to be alive to their responsibilities and discharge their duties effectively.
The CP thanked Members of the public and other stakeholders for their continuous support and partnership with the Command.
He assured all that the Command under his watch will not let them down.
