By Daniel Dafe
God’s House of Refuge, Uyo, Akwa Ibom, has reacted to the death of the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Ezekiel Atang.
According to a statement on Wednesday signed by the ministry’s Resident Pastor, Stanley Orji, “his sudden demise occurred on Sunday, 20th February, 2022, while in pastoral duties at Onitsha, Anambra state.”
“Pastor Ezekiel while on earth led a very purposeful and impactful life. He was an ardent preacher of the word, a passionate soul winner, a transformational leader and a family builder of repute. He will be remembered for his life-changing messages and signature programmes like ‘Singles Frank Talk’ and ‘Fresh Wine for Couples,” the statement said.

Continuing, the church said that the cleric “left worthy legacies behind,” saying that they are “poised to fire on with the baton without looking back,”
“Be assured that his wife, children, family and the church he left behind are all doing well. His demise is no doubt painful, we wish he had stayed longer, but we’ve learned to submit to God’s sovereign will for it is the best for us. We will never mourn hopelessly. We appreciate all the calls, visits and prayers at this time. Please keep praying for us. His burial arrangements will be announced soon. A General has taken his final bow but the church marches on. To God be the glory,” the church added.
