“I am humbled by this invitation to interact and cross fertilize ideas with the leadership of UPU worldwide represented by the executives of the union.
“I am your loyal and humble son and I have enormous respect for our Urhobo leaders and this great Union. You sent me to the House of Assembly in 2015 where I became Speaker of the House with your recommendation and influence.
“In the past five years and still counting, I have systematically discharged my duties and responsibilities without blemish, and in the process I made Delta State, Deltans and Urhobo nation proud and I will strive harder to serve Deltans better.
“I am here today to also receive your blessings so that as our father, leader, brother and governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, finishes strong on May 28, 2023, he would gladly handover governance of the state to me, your humble son, so as to continue from where the governor will stop in 2023, to build on his enviable and remarkable achievements.
“The policies and programmes of Okowa administration cannot be faulted by any right thinking Deltans, and I shall build on Gov Okowa’s legacies, expand the frontiers of development, do the needful to keep Delta and Deltans secured, safe, progressive, prosperous and stronger economically.

Not a kobo of the state money will be missing or misappropriated. This is my firm promise to UPU, to all ethnic nationalities, to all unions and to the good people of Delta State.
“I have learnt leadership skills over the years, and I have also been privileged to work closely with past and present governors of our state, as well as the Executive and Judiciary arms of government as the head of the legislature. This is a big plus for me and my experience over the years shall be deployed to serve Deltans in a higher capacity.
“I know the yearnings of Deltsns. I will not disappoint UPU, I will not disappoint any ethnic union, I will not disappoint Deltans and above all, I will not disappoint God. Here I am, send me please,” Oborevwori added.
