Delta NUJ Chairman To Chair First Inter-House Sports Competition Of Wise Choice Academy
The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu is billed to chairman the maiden edition of Inter-House Sports Competition of Wise Choice Academy, Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The release was signed by Pastor Efam Wisdom Eche and Mrs. Queen Okah Efam, Proprietor and Principal, respectively.
According to the release, the maiden inter-house sports competition scheduled for Wednesday, March 16, 2022, will hold at LA Primary School, Agbarho.
The release noted that the importance of sports to the overall growth and development of the child can never be overemphasised, adding that for education to be effective, the child needs to be engaged in activities that would also enhance healthy living.

It added that the event will help in educating and creating awareness of sports among the children, just as it added that it will provide an avenue for discovering of budding talents.
It said, “We are embarking on this exercise in adherence to the State Government disposition towards discovering of sporting talents to be groomed to represent the state in sporting activities both locally and internationally in future.”
“This will also help to inculcate the knowledge of sports as a carrier in children as well as the benefits they will derive in engaging in sporting activities. Sports is like medicine for healthy living; for energetic, stronger and physical fitness. It helps to build character and personality of the individual, as it also helps to fight sickness and depression.
“Another reason of embarking on this activity is to facilitate the enhancement of learning abilities in the students”, the statement concluded.
