Homosexuality: DESTMA Official Abuses Teenage Boys

An official of the Delta State Traffic Management Agency (DESTMA) has been caught in homosexuality with four teenage boys at Ogedegba Street, Warri in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The DESTMA staff was alleged to be a homosexual who is in the habit of sexually abusing teenage boys.

Mr. Onome, who witnessed the worrisome event stated that it seemed the teenage boys had consented to the act as they looked as guilty as the said staff of DESTMA.

One of the teenage boys stated that he came from Asaba, the state capital, to meet with the homosexual, explaining that someone had introduced him to the man (homosexual).

The boys did not own up to have received any financial benefits from the homosexual; hence, it is difficult to state what the motif behind the act on the part of the abused teenagers.

Some onlookers believed it must be connected to money rituals, while others said it was just for sexual pleasure as the boys did not look like they were forced into the act.

Mrs. Edna, an elderly woman who spoke with newsmen stated that the boy child had been unattended to in the society with so much attentions beamed on the girl-child.

She stated further that enlightenment and trainings for the boy-child should be organised.

She called on government at all levels and NGOs to take responsibility in educating and supporting the boy-child as well.

Residents at Ogedegba Street also called on the Delta State Traffic Management Authorities to investigate the issues for necessary actions against the offending official.
