The Bursar of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Rasheed Olanrewaju Oyedeji has been issued a 21-day ultimatum to return missing funds into the College’s coffers or face the full weight of the law.

In a letter signed by Folorunso Adesina, the Auditor General of Osun State, dated March 14, 2022, and addressed to the institution’s Provost, it was alleged that the missing funds, which is to the tune of four hundred and twelve million, three hundred and fifty nine thousand, nine hundred and two Naira, ninety seven Kobo, were proceeds of financial misconduct and infractions.

Adesina, while advising the College Bursar to produce some concealed documents before the last date of the ultimatum, alleged that he had gone ahead to dispose of the documents that would have revealed more missing funds.

According to the letter, “It is my strong opinion that Mr Rasheed Olarewaju Oyedeji, the Bursar of Osun State College of Education has committed financial misconduct and infractions which have resulted in huge loss of funds to the State government.

The College Bursar explained that the matter was before the Osun State House of Assembly and that a final report had not been made by the legislators.
