2023: DSP Agege Deserves Delta Gov—- APC Youth Forum
By Ukane Godwin
Ahead of the forthcoming General Election, a group known as Orogun APC Youth Forum in support of the Governorship ambition of the Deputy Senate President (DSP), Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has said that Senator Agege deserves the position of Governor, come 2023 for the betterment of Delta State.
The Orogun APC Youth Forum made this known recently in their enlarged meeting held at Sanubi-Orogun in Ughelli North LGA, Delta State, in support of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege Governorship ambition.
Speaking to newsmen immediately after a well attended meeting of the Forum, the convener of the meeting, Mr. Pius Eguono Onodjae and Mr. Great Legend Edese posited that: “We are here today for a meeting of our forum in support of DSP Agege.”
According to Mr. Pius Onodjae, “our last maiden’s meeting held at Aragba-Orogun, was well attended, and this one we chose to hold it here in Sanubi-Orogun.”
“We are rotating the meeting for the interest of unity of the members of the forum in order to have a sense of belonging.
“I can say here that we have not really started, but what we are doing now, we are trying to form a formidable force so that the forum can work in unity for our able Senator Ovie Agege to win, come 2023,” adding: “We are still going to be holding a town hall meeting to sensitized our people on the need to work for Senator Agege ambition.”
Mr. Pius Onodjae also hinted that, efforts are on top gear to reach out to other APC youths across the 25 local government areas in the state.
However, Mr. Great Adese Legend during the meeting, hinted: “We are here in respect of DSP Agege Governorship ambition. Senator Agege truly deserves the seat of Delta State Governor, come 2023 because of his antecedents and his track records. Just look at the few years in the senate.
“Ovie Agege has done very well to the expectation of Delta Central and the State at large,” he added.
According to Mr. Adese Legend Great, “Agege brought Federal Polytechnic. He brought Law school. Let us forget the fact that they were sited in Orogun kingdom, but they are the glory of Urhobo Nation and Delta State as a whole, and not only that, there are street lights across all the villages in Urhobo Nation. He also empowered many youths just to mention but a few”
.
Continuing, Mr. Legend Adese, also posited that, all these were done by Ovie Agege just as a senator, adding that if given the mandate to be the governor of the state come 2023, he will do more to transform Delta State for better development.
Speaking further, Mr. Great Legend Adese, however, described Senator Agege as a legend, adding that a legend is he who fights for others to progress, which he said Ovie Agege stands for, assuring that he will continue to support Ovie Agege ambition at all levels, stressing that if Ovie Agege is being voted into power Delta State will witness a lot of changes.
He therefore used this medium to call on other youths of Orogun kingdom and others to support Senator Ovie Agege ambition come 2023 for more dividends of democracy.
On her part, Dr. Bennis Agbonifo who also spoke in the same vein during the meeting appreciated the turn out of the meeting, saying that Orogun APC Youth Forum is a forum of the youth wing of APC to champion the course of Senator Ovie Agege at all levels, adding that the forum will continue her work to fully mobilize support for Agege Governorship ambition.
However, chief Young Akpude, Mr, Ofunaba Andrew Ofunaba and Deacon Francis Eboh who also spoke during the meeting commended the Orogun APC Youth Forum for their work.
They called on them to be dedicated and committed to the party at all times.
