Catalogue Of Lies And Deceits: Delta APC Fires Back, Says Electoral Act, BVAS, Others Will Stop PDP’s Rigging In 2023
By Daniel Dafe
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, has fired back at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying that “Okowa’s one and only legacy has been his kleptomanic approach to governance which has seen Delta State reduced to a gangsters’ paradise of pathological looting of our state treasury.”
Recall that the PDP had described the governorship declaration event of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has a catalogue of lies and deceits, saying that Agege’s speech at the occasion was watery and that he has nothing to offer Deltans.
But in a swift response, APC in a statement signed by E.V. Onojeghuo, Esq., Publicity Secretary, said that “Okowa’s only legacy is his army of thousands of Special Assistants and other aides without offices, portfolio, work schedule, job description or political direction, whom our state must cough out 2 billion naira to pay and maintain every blessed month in a state where our fellow Deltans who have given 35 years of their lives serving in the civil service are slumping and dying everyday while still being heartlessly owed their pensions and gratuities by the Okowa administration.”
According to the statement, “Osuoza, PDP and Okowa’s fixation with crowd size at Omo-Agege’s declaration is clear and unambiguous confirmation that the PDP and Okowa are convinced they have now and, for the very first time, finally met their true qualitative and quantitative match in the politics of Delta State.”
Adding that with the Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs, the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS and the new Electoral Act, 2022, “thumb printing is no longer possible; writing of results is no longer available; snatching of ballot boxes is now a waste of time; and, toxic votes are henceforth permanently annulled.”
“No power drunk idiot, intoxicated by our billions he has stolen and pocketed with his family in his crazed bid to emerge as the richest Governor in the history of Nigeria, will impose any of his minions upon us as our next Governor,” the statement said.
APC wondered why PDP “sought to explain away the epoch making Governorship declaration event of Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as merely, according to it, “a catalogue of lies and deceits”.”

RE: OMO-AGEGE AND HIS CATALOGUE OF LIES, DECEIT; HAS NOTHING TO OFFER DELTANS – PDP
In a completely mystifying press statement issued, of all days, on Good Friday, 15 April, 2022, the Delta State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, through its Publicity Secretary, one “Dr.” Ifeanyi Osuoza, supposedly a PhD holder, vainly sought to explain away the epoch making Governorship declaration event of Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as merely, according to it, “a catalogue of lies and deceits”.
It is truly mind boggling how utterly low and shamelessly brazen Delta PDP can go in its attempt to turn truth on its head.
According to Osuoza, PDP was “not surprised that most politicians can look you straight in the face, lie effortlessly through their teeth, and commit all manner of moral and existential misdemeanors that tarnish even on the sacred authority of the positions and status they occupy”.
If this statement amounts to nothing else, it is certainly an apt description of none other than Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, himself, a Governor noted and notorious for his uncanny and unsettling ability to tell lie after lie even to those supposedly closest and dear to him.
Indeed, Osuoza’s paymaster and PDP’s poster boy, Governor Okowa, is so well known in political circles as the serial merchant of empty and broken promises that his self-conferred title of “Ekwueme” is now taken to be a perplexing and quite troubling deliberate and rather diabolical attempt, on his part, to mock Almighty God, the one and only true “Ekwueme of the Universe”, a divine title Okowa has appropriated for himself, even as he continues to mindlessly misappropriate the resources of Delta State.
As for a “catalogue of lies” and “deceit”, this is really only a rather bewildering tailormade description of Osuoza’s poorly packaged and quite comical attempt to impugn Senator Omo-Agege while defending the indefensible in the embodiment of the virulent brood of vipers called PDP!
As for having “nothing to offer Deltans”, that is the verdict of Deltans on none other than Governor Okowa and the PDP!
Indeed, if we may ask, who are the “more than 200,000 youths, including over 4,000 from Omo-Agege’s own LGA” that “have been trained and empowered and are now proud independent entrepreneurs and job creators”, according to the PDP?
How come absolutely no one knows them and no Deltan has ever sighted or come across any such person?
How come is it that one cannot find any Deltan who has a son or daughter, brother or sister, cousin or in-law, neighbour or stranger, friend or even sworn enemy to whom he or she can point to that has benefitted from these clearly fictitious trainings and totally phantom empowerment programs?
And for God’s sake, what legacy projects were “delivered in the area of education”, according to PDP?
How dare PDP even talk about education, of all things, when Governor Okowa is clearly adamant that more of our youths must drop out of school and take to fraud or prostitution given the demonic increases in school fees currently being orchestrated by Okowa’s defacto privatisation of university and other tertiary educational institutions in the state?
Where are the “1,500 kilometers of roads and over 1,000 kilometers of line drainages” supposedly constructed by the kleptocratic Okowa administration that PDP is talking about?
Is it the roads that have already failed within months of their construction?
When a Governor who is supposed to be a medical doctor turns himself into the sole contractor in the entire state, awarding each and every contract to himself, his wife, his children, his brothers, his sisters and any other Tom, Dick or Harry as long as such person is from Owa-Alero, why would we not find our state littered with substandard roads and drains that have woefully failed, are miserably failing or, are about to fail?
And what is that nonsense Osuoza, a supposed PhD holder, was touting about “the famous stormwater drainage projects to tackle flooding in Asaba, Okpanam, and the Warri, Effurun axis”?
Which stormwater projects is PDP talking about?
Is it the one that has even worsened flooding in Asaba, Okpanam and environs or is it the fictitious one in Effurun and Warri?
Is PDP insisting that Okowa should be applauded by Deltans for billions of our state resources gone down the drain in the name of construction of drains and drainages?
And what was all that gibberish about it being “on record that as of today, there is no Local Government in Delta State where the outstanding legacy projects” and “footprints of the Okowa administration have not been planted”?
What fraudulent legacy projects is PDP talking about, and, is it the footprints of a thief fleeing with a loot of billions from Government House on a monthly basis that Osuoza is pouting about?
Okowa’s one and only legacy has been his kleptomanic approach to governance which has seen Delta State reduced to a gangsters’ paradise of pathological looting of our state treasury.
Okowa’s only legacy is his army of thousands of Special Assistants and other aides without offices, portfolio, work schedule, job description or political direction, whom our state must cough out 2 billion naira to pay and maintain every blessed month in a state where our fellow Deltans who have given 35 years of their lives serving in the civil service are slumping and dying everyday while still being heartlessly owed their pensions and gratuities by the Okowa administration.
Okowa’s only legacy is his daughter whom he made a Special Assistant but has a budget no Commissioner can boast of.
Indeed, Okowa’s one and only true, real, undoubted and verifiable legacy is restricted to his shapeless, tasteless, overpriced, over-expensive and over-expansive compound in Owa-Alero.
While PDP and the likes of Osuoza may think it worth their while to keep running their servile mouths against the likes of Senators Omo-Agege and Peter Nwaoboshi, the embarrassing irony and bitter truth of the matter is that the only verifiable and truly worthwhile legacy projects and programs delivered in Delta and to Deltans in the past seven or so years are all thanks to these gentlemen and others of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
PDP’s obsession with Senator Nwaoboshi is only a betrayal of Okowa’s realisation that his planned return to the Senate, something he had hitherto taken for granted in his exceeding arrogance and megalomanic self-assessment, is now completely in tatters with Nwaoboshi firmly planted, deeply rooted, unshakably standing and immovably blocking the way.
Osuoza, PDP and Okowa’s fixation with crowd size at Omo-Agege’s declaration is clear and unambiguous confirmation that the PDP and Okowa are convinced they have now and, for the very first time, finally met their true qualitative and quantitative match in the politics of Delta State.
In the spirit of Easter we thank God for our Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs; we bless His Holy Name for the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS, even as we render unending adoration unto Him for a new Electoral Act, 2022.
Thumb printing is no longer possible; writing of results is no longer available; snatching of ballot boxes is now a waste of time; and, toxic votes are henceforth permanently annulled.
No power drunk idiot, intoxicated by our billions he has stolen and pocketed with his family in his crazed bid to emerge as the richest Governor in the history of Nigeria, will impose any of his minions upon us as our next Governor.
Deltans are determined that a government of thieves will not be allowed to install another government of thieves come 2023 in this state.
How could a reign of pathological looters ever have lasted forever?
The handwriting is clearly on the wall: the Season of Easter is upon us and old things must now pass away for new things to be done unto us. Let Deltans bear witness: progress and transformation are coming to this state!
PDP, keep being jittery for you have very good reasons to be truly and completely unsettled.
