DELSU Convocation/Anniversary: VC To Address World Press Conference Monday

Vice-Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU),, Abraka, Professor Andy Ogochukwu Egwunyenga, will on Monday, April 25, 2022, address a World Press Conference on the University’s 14th Convocation and 30th Anniversary, his first since assuming office in December 1, 2019.

This was disclosed in a press statement on Friday signed by Professor Ben Nwanne
Director, Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations.

According to the statement, “highlights of the eight day event include a Convocation Lecture to be delivered by His Excellency Ambassador Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, CFR, Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria.”

He noted that Professor Gambari was Nigeria’s External Affairs Commissioner during the military era and one time Under Secretary at the United Nations.

Continuing, Nwanne said: “Thursday, April 28, 2022 will feature a Commemorative Lecture entitled “Wither Education in Africa” to be delivered by Professor Loch Otieno Lumumba from Kenya.

“Friday, April 29, 2022 is devoted to the Alumni of the University, with a variety of activities while the climax will be Saturday, April 30, when the Convocation Ceremony at which Diplomas, Degrees, Honorary Degrees will be awarded as well as the investiture of Professors Emeriti.”
