DELTA: Evwreni PG Inaugurates Ogor Branch Of ECIU, Calls For Unity

The President-General of Evwreni Clan Improvement Union (ECIU), Mr. Bright Adjogbe has inaugurated the Ogor branch of the union amidst cheers and celebration.
The event which took place at Ovwodokpokpor-Ogor community in Ughelli North LGA of Delta state drew together the national executive members of the union, the newly elected branch executive members of the new Ogor branch, representatives of the Evwreni traditional council and others too numerous to mention.
In his opening remarks during the occasion, the president of the new Ogor branch and a highly respected prince in Evwreni kingdom, Prince Matthew Uba told the Evwreni people present that, they should be more united now to make the new branch of the ECIU stronger in achieving the objectives of establishing the branch.
He also solicited for their support in order to overcome the numerous challenges the entire Evwreni kingdom is presently passing through as a result of internal crisis.
Prince Uba urged the president-general of Evwreni kingdom to always carry them along as a branch in the course of his administration.

In a brief speech before the official inauguration of the new branch, the President-General, Mr. Bright Adjogbe who was highly elated thanked the branch executive members of the new Ogor branch for taking the boldness and courage to apply for inauguration despite that, many of the members in the branch were victims of internal crisis back home.
“I’m the happiest man today as we have added another feather to our cap. I want to announce to you that, this Ogor branch is the 17th branch of the ECIU worldwide. Again, I want to really thank you all for your courage and strength to come out, even in this critical condition we found ourselves as a result of internal crisis back at home. This your bold step will definitely yield positive results very soon. I want to plead with you to be more united than ever before so that the new branch will become stronger. Therefore, by the powers vested on me as the president-general of Evwreni Clan Improvement Union, I hereby inaugurate the Ogor branch and its executive members of the union. Congratulations!” he said.
Also presenting a goodwill message to the newly inaugurated branch was the “Otota’Rode” of Evwreni kingdom, High Chief Hon. Felix Ayovwe who represented the Evwreni traditional council.
He enjoined the members to show love to one another and also to be more committed in attending monthly meetings.
He prayed for Hon. Fidelis Adjogbe, an APC aspirant for the Ughelli North Constituency 1 in the Delta state House of Assembly and also the vice president of the new Ogor branch to win the election, come 2023 as a memorable and historical achievement to the branch.
Amongst the new branch executive members that were inaugurated to run the affairs of the new Ogor branch by the president-general were Prince Matthew Uba as president, Hon. Fidelis Adjogbe as vice president, Hon. Desmond Okpako as secretary, Come. Joseph Wine as assistant secretary, Mrs. Evelyn Obahor as treasurer, Oremu Wonder as auditor, Okpako as welfare officer, Prince Famous Amrophe as financial secretary, Mr. Victor Oviomote as organizing secretary and Mr. Moses Aki as PRO.
The inauguration event ended with the presentation of the ECIU Constitution to the new president of the branch, Prince Matthew Uba by the president-general of the union, Mr. Bright Adjogbe amidst applause from members.
Others who accompanied the president-general to the inauguration ceremony were Mr. Joseph Ighorodje, secretary-general of ECIU and Mr. Michael Akporudju.
