Reps’ Seat: Umeh Youths Vow To Support Ukodhiko
Scores of youths from Umeh community in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta, have thrown their weight behind Engr. Jonathan Ukodhiko’s bid to represent Isoko Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, in the 2023 general election.
The backing of Ukodhiko, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is coming on the heels of a similar endorsement by a group of market women in Oleh, headquarters of the council area.
Welcoming Ukodhiko and his campaign team to Umeh at a consultative visit on Friday, the youths led by Ebah Romeo, also declared their readiness to mobilise and support his candidature within the Federal Constituency.
The youths insisted that Ukodhiko as a renowned business man and entrepreneur, had the capacity and experience to represent Isoko nation amidst daunting economic challenges of unemployment and poverty.

Displaying placards bearing various inscriptions such as “Ukodhiko means well for Isoko”, “No Ukodhiko, No Reps”, “For employment, quality representation and security, Ukodhiko is the answer”, the youths expressed total support for Ukodhiko’s aspiration for the Isoko Federal Constituency seat.
Ebah said Ukodhiko had endeared himself to the Isoko people as a successful entrepreneur and astute player in the oil and gas sector.
“Engr. Jonathan Ukodhiko is a vibrant young Isoko man who has given his word to unite the Isoko people.
“We have seen his antecedents in his private and public life and we are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that he is the right man to represent the Isoko people at this time.”
A leader in the community and Secretary of Ukodhiko Campaign Organisation, Hon. Chief Odiri Alade in his remarks said Ukodhiko is a man loved by all for his humility and fear of God.
He reiterated the support of the youths, assuring that the people were behind Ukodhiko’s aspiration to better the lots of Isoko people.
Responding, Ukodhiko thanked the youths for their support and solidarity, assuring that his quest to represent the Isoko people is to serve their interests by improving their living standards and not to feather his own nest as God has blessed him beyond measures.
