2023: Nwoko, Amori, Diden Will Do Well As Senators — CMPG
…Passes Vote Of Confidence On Gov Ifeanyi Okowa’s Leadership
Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said that senatorial candidates of Delta North, Central and South in the state, Prince Ned Nwoko, Chief Ighoyota Amori and Hon Michael Diden, are square pegs in square holes, urging them not to disappoint Deltans.
The group in a communique issued after her monthly Meeting in Asaba on Wednesday 1st June, and signed by the Chairman, Olorogun Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq, Deputy Chairman Delta North, Hon Emmanuel Momah and Deputy Chairman Delta South, Hon Toju Ekengbuda, noted that the trio of Nwoko, Amori and Diden, have long history of enviable political leadership, huge grassroots support and have paid their dues as leaders of PDP in their respective senatorial districts over the years.
CMPG further averred that the task of Advancing Delta beyond the tenure of the incumbent governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa in 2023, rest squarely on the shoulders of the Unifier incoming governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, the three incoming senators and other elected representatives, as well as multifaceted stakeholders in the affairs of Delta State.
The state media group passed vote of confidence on the administration of governor Okowa, in all ramifications; infrastructure and socioeconomic development, wealth and job creation, remarkable achievements in the educational sector and sports development, skills acquisition and empowerment of thousands of Delta youth, quality health care in partnership with several agencies and the 05 Initiative, establishment of three additional Universities and prudent management of state resources, et al.
“We note and commend the platinum governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for his pragmatic leadership, detribalised nature, patriotism, good governance, maturity, spiritual status and for ensuring a.credible, free, fair and transparent PDP primaries in the state.

CMPG urged the incoming Senators; Prince Nwoko, Chief Amori and Hon Diden, to do anything and everything positive and possible to raise the stake in legislative business at the red chamber, attract substantial development to Delta State and by extension Nigeria, adding that come 2023 general election, the trio shall defeat their opponents effortlessly due to their mesmerising popularity, goodwill, integrity, visionary leadership and competence.
“CMPG is very proud of the quality of senatorial and House of Representatives candidates as well as State Constituencies candidate in the 2023 electioneering contests in Delta State. They are the best among equals. Victory shell be sweet for PDP in 2023 across board and at the national level.
“The senatorial candidates; Prince Ned Nwoko, Chief Ighoyota Amori and Hon Michael Diden aka Ejele, are men of substance, experienced politicians who knows their onions in both legislative matters and Democratic leadership at party levels and in governance.
“Their choice as PDP senatorial candidates is commendable and it guarantees landslide victory for the party across the three senatorial districts in 2023.
“We respectfully urged our distinguished incoming senators to do well by showcasing their wealth of experience, connections and competence in legislative matters, and at the same time attract substantial development to Delta State. They are square pegs in square holes.
“CMPG reviewed Okowa administration and came to the unequivocal conclusion that the governor and his deputy, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro performed creditably without blemish.
“Subsequently, CMPG passes vote of confidence on the Platinum Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for his remarkable achievements and prudent management of state resources.
“Governor Okowa is unarguably PDP’s best bet for Vice Presidential Candidate for our incoming President, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“CMPG urges Deltans and all stakeholders to put all hands on deck to win the 2023 gubernatorial elections, and partner with the incoming Unifier and superlative Street Credibility Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, in Advancing Delta,” CMPG said.
