Christmas: Nwoko Felicitates Nigerians, Anioma Constituents, Urges Love, Peace, Unity

As Christians around the world mark the Christmas celebration in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has extended warm yuletide greetings to Nigerians, with special felicitations to his constituents across Anioma land.

In a Christmas goodwill message issued in Abuja, Senator Nwoko described the season as one of deep spiritual and moral significance, noting that the birth of Jesus Christ carries timeless lessons not only for Christians but for humanity as a whole.

He said the nativity of Christ over 2,000 years ago ushered in an extraordinary life whose teachings and values have continued to shape societies across generations, congratulating Christians on what he described as their rich divine heritage.

The lawmaker, who recently distributed over one thousand bags of rice and other relief items to communities across Delta North and beyond, described Christmas as a “fiesta of glory and veneration,” symbolising hope, redemption and renewal.

Senator Nwoko urged Christians and all Nigerians to use the festive season to reaffirm their commitment to the enduring virtues of love, peace, unity and shared purpose, which he said remain central to the message and mission of Jesus Christ.

He further called for the consistent demonstration of tolerance, forgiveness, empathy and openness, stressing that such values are indispensable to peaceful coexistence among people created by one God, regardless of religious, ethnic or social differences.

“Christmas is a glorious celebration. It symbolises not only the nativity of Jesus Christ but also the essence of His divine mission as the Prince of Peace,” the senator said.

“I rejoice with Christians across Nigeria, Delta State and Anioma land in particular on this joyful occasion. On behalf of my family and political associates, I wish all Nigerians boundless joy this yuletide season. Merry Christmas.”

Senator Nwoko expressed optimism that the lessons of Christmas would inspire greater unity, compassion and collective responsibility as Nigerians look ahead with renewed hope.
