Consensus Candidate: Fani-Kayode Backs APC Natn’l Chairman
By Daniel Dafe
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has backed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, on his choice of the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, as the party’s consensus presidential candidate.
Fani-Kayode in a post via Facebook on Tuesday, opined that a “challenge to the authority of the Chairman and supremacy of the party is unacceptable.”
According to him, “It is not for the Northern Governors to singlehandedly ZONE or DETERMINE the Presidential candidate of our party.”
Adding: “It is for the President, the National Chairman, the National Working Committee and the delegates to decide.”
