DELSU: Prof. Mukoro Emerges Dean Faculty Of Management Sciences

The academic staff of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka has elected Prof. Akpomuvire Mukoro as Dean for the next 2 years.

The election which took place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Faculty of Management Hall, during the Faculty Board meeting was conducted by the faculty staff

Prof. Akpomuvire contested the Deanship alongside Prof. Okolie of the Department of Accounting and Finance and polled a total of 32 votes as against Prof. Okolie who garnered 17 votes to emerge winner of the election.

Supervised by the Faculty Officer, Mr. Lucky Emebradu, the election was a secret ballot with departments of the Faculty taking turns to cast their votes.

Departments who also verified their staff for the election, were Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance Marketing and Public Administration.

Also, the Faculty representatives of Social Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Art, Education, Science Law and Clinical Science also cast their ballots.

In his brief acceptance speech, the Dean-elect, expressed appreciation to members of the Board for entrusting him with their votes and solicited for their support towards making the faculty the best in the university.

He promised to carry every one along in running the affairs of the faculty, stressing that he will not betray the confidence reposed in him.

Prof Akpomuvire Mukoro takes over from Professor Olannye Ajulu Peter.
