Juliana Okoebor, a graduate of Agricultural Economics, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has said that she was yet to get her transcript three months after she applied to the institution.
Recall that during DELSU’s convocation recently, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andy Egwunyenga, said that it now takes 24-hours for transcripts to be made available to former students that put in requests.
Okoebor in a tweet that expressed her disappointment wondered why it takes 3 months plus to process transcript.
Her tweet added: “I am yet to get my international copy of transcript sent to the school I’m applying to study.
“I am currently doing my NYSC in Lagos state and it’s time and money consuming to come down to the university to keep track.”
She also alleged that the Exams and Records staff “are so mean and disrespectful.”
She continued: “Is it that the school that teaches so much about knowledge and character fails to orient its staff on the importance of character?”
Responding, Prof. Egwunyenga, insisted that “transcript processing for graduands from 2014 to date takes only 24hr now.”
