My response!!

Some of the challenges we face in Delta state as citizens is that a lot of our politician just love to hear the sound of their own voices, even when they have nothing reasonable to say. They don’t care to study individuals or personalities to be able to characterize people properly. Thus making misleading statements.

How can Oyibode rely on a false and clearly speculative post by some mischievous fringe element on social media to the effect that Ogboru said “Omoagege would not have any vote in Delta central”. One would have expected Oyibode to confirm such claim before rendering his unfounded and unnecessary counsel.

Ogboru is urbane, measured and does not make unrefined expressions. Question is, to whom and where did Ogboru make such statements? If any politician in Delta dwells on issues, it’s Ogboru. He doesn’t have time to talk or discuss persons. He always addresses his minds to critical issues of governance and focuses on his programs that he believes have the blueprints to transform the lives and socioeconomic conditions of our people and place the state on the path of sustainability.

Omoagege will have votes, he always got votes, no matter how few. What is certain is that he is no match for the People’s General. Try not to be deceived by his constant criticism of PDP lately. Remember he just left PDP in 2015 when Ogboru offered to help him become a senator. Thus it was the Ogboru political family that made him a senator in both 2015 and 2019. Without the Ogboru political structure supporting him, Omoagege will revert back to the kind of votes(7,000 and 15,000 in two elections) he used to get pre 2015 in the entire state.

As you mentioned, without even seeing the irony, Omoagege was an integral part of same PDP he castigates everyday and desires to dislodge. However, it was the Lord Jesus who said “you cannot cast out demon by the spirit of bezebulb” because they are one spirit and dwell in the same realm. The people of Delta state are not deceived. They know whom to trust between Omoagege and Ogboru.

It’s on record that since Ogboru stepped out to seek the mandate of the Deltan electorate he has restrained himself from joining issues with any politician or candidate, nevertheless, remained undaunted and consistent within the provisions of the law in pursuit of his mandate.

Against the foregoing, it has become more appropriate for Mr. Gabriel Oyibode to task himself on due diligence to verify issues before jumping into making unsubstantiated and unverifiable claims to the press just to be heard!
