“You will be doing the society a lot of good whenever illegal activities or individuals with questionable traits are reported to security operatives,” he stated.
According to him, “security is everybody’s business. We must be each other’s police. Be at alert whenever you notice strange faces in your environment. We are really in trying times. Everyone should thread with wisdom.”
He disclosed that the curfew imposed in the area was for the good of residents, adding that everybody must be security conscious.
Speaking further, he urged parents and caregivers to monitor the activities of their wards to avoid regrets.
“Many teenagers are lured into crime and other destructive habits. Don’t assume. Query your children and their friends, no matter how innocent they look, to avoid tears and shame. We must apply caution,” he added.
On the rising cases of kidnapping in the area, the area commander said “we are appealing to residents to avoid lonely areas and night activities.
“We will continue to do our best to ensure the safety of lives and property. There have been several security meetings and measures have been put in place to curb such,” he stated.
