BREAKING: Former Ughelli South LGA Secretary Is Dead

Former Secretary of Ughelli South Local Government Council of Delta State, David Ekuetafia Esq., is dead.

His death comes two weeks after his elder sister, Madam Rhumama, a civil servant at Ughelli South Local Government Secretariat died.

Olorogun Fidelis Tuvata, a member of the family who confirmed the death of Ekuetafia to journalists, said he has been in coma with an undisclosed ailment for some days before his untimely death.

According to Independent Newspapers, eforts by medical experts at the Delta State Teaching Hospital, Oghara to revive him proved abortive as he died at the early hours of Friday, 1st July, 2022.

Late Ekuetafia was Secretary to Ughelli South Local Government Council when Barr. Monday Emuvakpor was Transition Committee Chairman of the council between 2002 to 2003.

When contacted, Barr Monday Emukpor, expressed shock over the sudden death of the former Ughelli South Council scribe.

He described him as a committed PDP member whose contribution led to the party’s victory in past elections, just as he prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
