Buhari Reshuffles Cabinet, Replaces Amaechi With Muazu Sambo
…Redeploys Gbemi Saraki To Mines and Steel
President Muhammadu Buhari has reshuffled his cabinet by appointing new portfolios to the seven ministers that were recently appointed.
He administered the oath of office on them before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the presidential villa, Abuja.
Recall that there were existing vacuum in Buhari’s cabinet after some of the Minister’s were compelled to resign before contesting elective positions in political party primaries in June.

The President has appointed Muazu Jaji Sambo as Minister of Transportation. He replaces Rotimi Amaechi, the former Presidential Aspirant of All Progressive Congress (APC)
Sambo was a former Lagos area manager of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA)
Meanwhile, Senator Gbemi Saraki has been removed as Minister of State for Transportation. She was replaced by Ademola Adewole Adegoroye.
Saraki was redeployed as Minister for state mines and steel.
The other appointments and their portfolios are;
Umana Okon Umana- Minister of Niger Delta affairs
Olorunimbe Mammora- Minister of , Science and Technology
Sharon Ikeazor- Minister of State Niger delta affairs
Umar Ibrahim El yakub- Minister of state works and housing
Goodluck Nanah Opiah- Minister of State Education
Ekumankama Joseph Nkama- Minister of State Heath
Ikoh Henry ikechukwu- Minister of State, Science and Technology
Odum Udi- Minister of State, Environment.
While performing the ceremony, the president urged the new ministerial appointees to consider their emergence as a call to duty which demands diligent service to the nation.
