DELSU VC Bags 'Medical Excellence' Award

Representatives of Graduating Medical Students of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andy O. Egwunyenga, to present a Medical Excellence award to him.

According to the VC, the visit was to express appreciation for the provision of needed Staff and Infrastructure to the Medical College, adding: “The students also presented me a Commemorative Plaque and Branded Jersey of my Football Club, ARSENAL!”

The final year Medical Students were led by Ryan Aghatise.

The students noted that the Vice-Chancellor has been so passionate about the affairs of the Medical School, especially in ensuring that the Program got full Accreditation and increased admission quota amongst others.

In another development, the Chaplain and Officials of All Saints Anglican Chapel have paid a courtesy call on Prof. Egwunyenga.

Oasis Magazine learnt that the visit was to appreciate the VC for hosting the recent Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Warri.

An award was also presented to him by the clerics.
