Jeep Rams Into Newspaper Stand, Kills Three Readers In Warri

Tragedy struck as a white colour Range Rover jeep with vehicle registration number Delta EFR 940 – TT rammed into the popular newspaper stand at Iyara Roundabout, Warri in the early evening of Saturday, 17th July, 2022.
Three readers were killed and one injured in the process.
An eye witness narrated that the incident occurred while the driver of the ill-fated vehicle tried to negotiate the roundabout at high speed, lost control and killed 3 readers and injured one person in the process.
It was further gathered that the driver sustained serious injuries and that the 2 girls in the vehicle were unhurt.

Some police men were seen investigating the accident when our correspondent arrived the scene of the incident
Passersby were also seen discussing the fatal accident.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Delta State Police Headquarters Asaba, DSP Bright Edafe requested that a text message should be sent to him when he was asked to confirm the accident.
His response was still expected at the time of filing this report.
