Okowa Mourns Ika South PDP Chairman, Jude Onyia
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has condoled with the family of the late Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika South Local Government Area, Mr Jude Onyia.
The late Onyia, who hailed from Ekuku-Agbor, died on Thursday.
In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, on Friday, Okowa commiserated with the people of Ika South and Ekuku-Agbor community in particular, over the demise of the politician and community leader.
He said that the passing of the PDP chairman in the area was a big loss to the party considering his invaluable contributions to the party’s fortunes in the state, which the party’s leadership was looking forward to replicate in the build-up and during the 2023 general elections.

He described the deceased as a fearless, truthful, bold and disciplined chieftain of PDP in the area.
According to the governor, Onyia was always concerned for the growth and development of the party and the Ika nation. He will be greatly missed.
He said, “On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I mourn the passing of a gentleman and politician of amiable personality.
“Mr Onyia was a renowned party leader and grassroots politician, who contributed his quota to the development of the state.
“I was shocked to hear news of his death but we thank God for the enviable life of service that he lived.
“He was a perfect gentleman-politician and leader of great value, who distinguished himself in the service of our party in the state.”
Okowa prayed God to accept the deceased’s soul and grant fortitude to the family and friends he left to bear the loss.
