Tidi Consoles Okere-Urhobo Kingdom Over Demise Of Monarch

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi, on behalf of the council, on Monday commiserated with the people of Okere-Urhobo kingdom over the demise of their monarch, HRM, Okumagba II, Sir Emmanuel Ono Okumagba.

Tidi, who was accompanied to the Palace of the Okere-Urhobo kingdom by his Vice, Chief Ann Iniovosa, the Counselors, Supervisors and the Civil Service class of Warri South Council, described the late monarch as a true father.

He said late Okumagba II, was a critical figure in the peace building advocacy in the council, adding that the king was a man of peace.

The Warri South council chairman said that the demise of the monarch of Okere-Urhobo kingdom was a big lost to the council and indeed, Delta State.

“Since we got wind of the passage of our father, we have not been ourselves.

“This is indeed a big vacuum and this is why we are praying to God Almighty to gives you the fortitude to bear the lose,” Tidi said.

Tidi promised the people of Okere-Urhobo kingdom of the Council’s support, saying that council will give them the needed support in this hour of their grief.

Responding on behalf of the Okere-Urhobo kingdom, the Otota of the kingdom, High Chief Gold Eburu, thanked the Warri South Council Chairman for the visit, saying that the kingdom will not hesitate to call on him at the right time.
