Why Delta PDP Was Left Out Of INEC’s Guber List -Team Edevbie
By Daniel Dafe
Head of Strategic Communications for Team Edevbie, Mr. Fred Edoreh, has given reasons why the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, did not include Delta PDP governorship candidate in its list of published flag bearers.
On Friday, INEC published the particulars of governorship candidates of different political parties nationwide, but left out the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State.
While Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s camp went on Facebook to display a photo shopped image to debunk reports that INEC did not include any candidate for the PDP in the state, Edevbie’s camp was optimistic that with the court judgment which has been acknowledged by INEC, Edevbie’s name will be published.
While reacting to the development, Edoreh in a statement, said: “It is not surprising that they continue to perpetuate falsehood with this fake photoshop of INEC publication of shortlisted candidates.
“It is well known that by the order of court, Sheriff is disqualified and David Edevbie is the lawful candidate of the party.

“It is also well known that INEC did not include the candidate of Delta PDP in its published list of candidate. It could not have done that especially as not only has it been served the court order but it has acknowledged the order and also drawn the attention of the party to the order.
“It is well known that that order has not been reversed by any court and there is no stay of execution granted them in any court of law anywhere in Nigeria.”
His statement added: “We know that those who are sponsoring rotten mango for Delta find the truth of the judgment very difficult to swallow and they are trying to do anything and everything to see if they can compromise it.
“Unfortunately for them, it is absolutely impossible either by connection or by bribery. It is also impossible for them either at the Appeal or Supreme Court.
“Stranded as they are, they are only delaying the necessary but inevitable action to do the right thing. This they will do once they recover from the shame they and their friend put themselves into.”
Continuing, he said that “it is however worrisome that first it was issue of fake WAEC credentials, then they presented faked and concocted COURT documents at their defence which the judge saw and rightly rejected and now they are presenting fake INEC publication. Dyed in the wool, they go on faking and it seems there is nothing they cannot fake.”
“However, our gratitude to God is that he has not allowed them to fake their way into Government. God saved Delta from a fake a administration that would have emerged from a set of people so adept in falsehood,” he said.
