Fear Grips Kokori Residents, As Unknown Gunmen Kidnap Pharmacist

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Wallocracy Valley Pharmaceutical Ltd, Mr. Chuks has been allegedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Kokori Ethiope East LGA, Delta State.
The sad development has left residents of Kokori community in fear, just as they recalled how last weekend, some suspected armed robbers robbed some persons in the community.
The circumstances surrending the abduction of Mr. Chuks were yet to be ascertained as at the time of this report, but a source from the community who spoke to our reporter said: “As at 8pm yesterday Saturday, 6th August, 2022, when we were still outside receiving fresh air, a Toyota Sienna car, with tinted class and an unidentified number plate drove in and parked in front of the pharmacist’s store.’

Adding: “We were thinking that they are customers that want to buy medicine, when all of sudden we heard gunshots.”
According to the source, the gunmen entered the store forcefully with their guns and went straight to the office of the CEO, and abducted him, shooting sporadically into the air to scare people away, saying that when they knew that everywhere was empty as a result of the gunshots they went away with the pharmacist to an unknown destination.
According to one of the victim’s family members, all his mobile phones were switched off by his kidnappers.
However, the source said: “There are a lot of security agencies in the community but a thing of this nature is happening in the community as if there is no security agent at all.:
All efforts to hear from the executive Chairman of Ethiope East LGA, Hon. (Pharm), Victor Ofobrukweta was not successful at the time of this report.
Efforts to.reach the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe, also proved abortive.
