2023: Obaseki Wins Again As Supreme Court Upholds Ruling On Governor’s Candidates
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has been ratified the true and undisputed leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, with the ruling of the Supreme Court, on Friday, upholding the candidates that emerged through the ad-hoc delegates election conducted by the faction loyal to the governor.
The Supreme Court, in the unanimous judgement, upheld the July 25 ruling of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which held that the issue of delegates list is a domestic affair of a party and that the courts cannot decide for the party.
