DELSU: I Will Make Students Trust Union Leaders Again –New SUG President

The newly sworn-in President, Student Union Government, Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Okupa Caleb Ogagaoghene, has said that his administration will restore the trust of students on union leaders in the institution.
The president gave this. assurance during a phone conversation with Oasis Magazine on Thursday.

“The students have had wrong leaders in power over the years, but I do have a plan”, he said.
“We have come to make sure that students’ voice are heard because they have given us their strength so we can fight for them; their eyes so we can see for them and their voices so we can speak for them. We are here to represent them totally in all ramifications,” he added.
In his words, “during my campaign, I made mention of three R’s which are to reposition, reform and restructure just like time comes and goes, the school needs reformation and restructuring which my government has come to deliver for all Delsuites”.
Furthermore, he disclosed that the major concern during his administration would be “the three basic needs of man which are food, shelter, clothing do that students.”
He stated that he could help the plight of the students indirectly by helping them get money ideas and skills because it Is very essential in every man’s life and needs to be taken seriously.
Adding, he also assured that there would be renovation and re-maintainance of old hostels because the students deserve to be given what they paid for.
“Delsuites believe in Okupa Caleb Ogagaoghene’s administration; believe in the 29th Assembly; believe in the executive council and believe in the SUG government. It is not going to be like before, this is different, this is unique. We are going to do better. We are going to do our best. We are not going to sleep until we get things done for you. Believe in us all students of Abraka and Oleh. We will make you proud and do more than you expect,” he said.
